MinistriesWe have many ministries here in our small, but mighty church...
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
In the last several years, we at Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church (PLUM) have noticed that there has been an increase in prayer request for those who have cancer and other illnesses which could end in death or chronic conditions which brings impairments. Many families and individuals often have little hope, loss of joy, and lack of understanding of what is next for them or their loved ones.
We have many ways that we reach out to the community including, but not limited to: jail ministries, a food bank, youth outreaches, and so many more! We are always looking for ways to share our love of Christ with the area, the state, and even the world!
If you are looking to serve in some capacity, please contact Pastor John and set up a meeting to discuss where you might fit in.
God will impress upon the hearts and minds of the knights and maidens that they have strength in God and in their brothers and sisters to help them overcome any situation they may face in life’s quest. We pray that fathers may teach their sons to become knights and that mothers will teach their daughters to find husbands with the characteristics of a knight. Honor, love, giving, caring and integrity are some of these virtues all should have.

Here at PLUM Church we hope to restore and provide opportunities for people to come to know the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. We have partnered with the community in order to provide faith into action throughout our hometowns, schools, correctional facilities, and neighborhoods.
Knights are not physical warriors; we do not condone violence. Our war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
