Thank you for visiting Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church, or PLUM, as we call it. We are a small but mighty church, and we believe that we are called by God to serve our community with our time and talents. If you are new to our site, please look around and find out more about us and we invite you to visit us in person some time in the future.

PLUM Church is a warm and welcoming church located in Steuben County in Indiana. A small but close-knit community, we welcome visitors and try to make them feel right at home. We are a “come as you are” church: meaning that if you feel like wearing jeans or a suit, what matters is that you have come to worship God. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed in fellowship and worship. And it is our hope to make you feel as if you are at home here at PLUM Church.

We have several different aspects to our church, but our main mission is to spread the word of Christ. We want to live like the Lord taught us and we want to spread the Word as we were taught. Our mission is to spread the Word to the next generation. God is our rock, and our salvation. Welcome to our little peace of internet Heaven!

PLUM offers a variety of ministries through the church. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Daycare
  • Food Bank/Clothing Closet
  • Knights of the Lord’s Table
  • Outreach Ministries
  • UMC Women’s Group
  • Cancer Ministry/Chronic Illness Ministry
  • Pastoral Counselling
  • Visitation
  • Youth Group
  • Article writing for The Herald Republican (Religious articles in the Angola local paper)

As you can see, being a small (under 100 in attendance) doesn’t mean we can’t make an impact in the world around us! As PLUM raises up leaders and disciples, these people then follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to make a difference in Jesus’ name. We may not have all the buttons and whistles that other churches offer, but we do have spirit and drive; not to like all the others but to be the best we can be as ourselves.
